Hledam nazev na pizzerii

Za dlouhych zimnich veceru vymyslim ruzne projekty.Ten posledni je, ze rozjedu malou pizzerii (jen vyzvednuti a dovoz), bez nejakych mist na sezeni.

Papa John’s domena uz je zabrana, takze premyslim nad dalsimi variantami:-)

Chtel bych dokazat delat relativne levnou pizzu, ktera ale bude z pouze velmi kvalitnich surovin. Organicke (nebo jak rikate v CR – BIO) a mistni suroviny. Proste brat syr od nejakeho maleho vyrobce syra, ktery to dela poctive a dobre. Odebirat zeleninu od mistnich farmaru. Vedet presne jake suroviny pouzivame, jak a kde jsou vyrobeny. Chtel bych ukazat, ze to jde delat. A maximum premysleni davam do toho jak to delat efektivne, aby se ta pizza nemusela prodavat draho.

S tim nazvem se mi honi hlavou, ze by nebylo spatne, aby nazev jasne ukazoval, ze to je lokalni pizzerie. A ne nejaka nadnarodni sit. Vychazim z toho, ze lide veri cim dal mene velkym vyrobcum a velkym sitim s tou kvalitou jidla. A ze ten mistni, maly producent je naopak schopen delat veci dobre a kvalitne z lokalnich surovin.

Treba jsem chtel otevrit pobocky kolem El Camino College a pojmenovat je El Camino Pizza. Nebo mam vyhlidlou nemovitost, ktera je u oblasti nazvanePalos Verdes, takze by se to mohlo jmenovat Palos Verdes Pizza.

Presvedceny s tim nazvem jeste nejsem. Ale kdyby nekoho neco napadlo (a je na ten nazev volna domena .com), tak mi napiste.

Chci aby nazev byl snadno zapamatovatelny. Aby se velmi snadno vyslovoval (bez nutnosti nejak vysvetlovat spelling, apod.).Cokoliv v nazvu evokuje, ze pizza bude dobre kvality je plus.

Jak se stat realitnim magnatem

Investovani do nemovitosti je hodne tezke kdyz nemate moc penez. Potrebujete dost velkou castku na downpayment (treba 30%) a banky vam jako investorovi nedaji nejlepsi podminky.

Pro banku je totiz investor vice rizikovy. Naopak podnikatel co si koupi nemovitost pro vlastni podnikani je pro banku malo rizikovy. Nemovitost si podnikatel muze koupit s pouze 10% downpayment (SBA loan) a s nizkym fixovanym urokem. U SBA pujcky muze byt urok fixovany az na 20 let!! To je u normalni bankovni pujcky na komercni nemovitosti v USA neslychane. Maximalne vam banka fixuje na 5,7 nebo 10 let. Nektere banky treba jen na tech 5 nebo 7 let. Takze jako podnikatel dostanete lepsi uroky, nemusite mit tolik penez na downpayment, urok fixovany na delsi dobu a proste banka vam vyjde mnohem vice vstrice nez jako investorovi.

Je spousta podnikani, kde muzete potrebovat vice pobocek pro podnikani a to znamena moznost dalsich nakupu nemovitosti za vyhodnych podminek. V podstate presne toto jsem udelal v Shipito. Kupoval jsem sklady co potrebovalo Shipito. A kdyz jsem Shipito prodaval tak investori ty sklady ani nechteli. To je naprosto normalni. Vetsina kupujicich a financnich investoru maji pocit, ze investice do nemovitosti je utapeni penez. Takze o ne nemaji zajem a radeji podepisi najemni smlouvu. Nemovitosti vam pak zustanou a jste zabezpeceni na cely zivot.

Letovy plan: “Bez doprdele”

Je to uz starsi udalost, ale kdyz tady pisu uz ty starosti bohatychtak to pridavam. Ten nadpis jsem prelozil volne. Ve skutecnosti se ten letovy plan jmenoval: FUCK ME.Kdyz uz tady mam tu kategorii clanku Starosti bohatych, tak sem neco pridam, at vidite jake “problemy” resim. Tento letovy plan na me cekal pri preletu soukromym letadlem z Los Angeles na Lake Tahoe.

Vsiml jsem si toho ciste nahodou. Delal jsem si fotky z letu a najednou vidim co to tam na tom displeji je.

Sikovni kluci pilotsti, ze?

Piloti dostali totiz pojeb.Normalne to pri charteru funguje tak, ze letadlo prileti hodinu predem pred planovanym odletem. Z dispecinku zavolaji, ze je letadlo nachystane. Mel jsem odletat v 6 vecer. Letadlo priletelo kolem 5. Dostal jsem zpravu. Jenze piloti zjistili, ze na letisti ze ktereho letim nemaji benzin pro jets (jen pro vrtulova letadla). To byla jejich chyba. Museli odletet na jine letiste natankovat, ale asi to nikam uz nehlasili, protoze nechteli mit ostudu. Mozna jini klienti zasadne jezdi pozde, takze si treba rekli, ze se na to ani neprijde. Ono na tom je to zalozeno, ze kdyz platite tak hrisne penize, tak nikdy nemate cekat vy, ale letadlo vzdy ceka na vas. Jenze ja vetsinou chodim vcas (tak 15 minut predem). Na letisti nevidim letadlo a rikam si co se deje. Volam na dispecink, kde to letadlo je. Z dispecinku zavolali pilotum a asi je brutalne zjebali.

Piloti prileteli po 15 minutach cekani a byli nejaci strasne zarazeni. Zadna omluva. Nic. Kaslal jsem na to a rikal jsem si jak bohaci mame tezky zivot. Nejenom platime strasny prachy, pak me jeste nechaji cekat a pak zadna omluva!

Ale v prostredku letu jsem si vsiml na obrazovce nazvu letoveho planu. Priblizil jsem si to fotakem. A zjistil, ze letovy plan se jmenuje FUCK ME.

A to se mi rozsvitilo. Ta charterova firma co pouzivam je z New Yorku.Ono je fakt velky rozdil mezi chovanim americanu na zapadnim a vychodnim pobrezi. Na vychodnim pobrezi se s tim moc nestvou. A verim, ze to slovo FUCK parkrat v te konverzaci padlo, kdyz jim nadavali, ze nechali klienta cekat. Lidi na zapadnim pobrezi jsou casto hodne citlivi a musi se s nimi jednat jako v rukavickach. Takze toto je moje varianta co se vlastne stalo. Jenze to jsem v tom okamziku vubec netusil. Takze piloti meli takovou rebelii, ze si aspon pojmenovali ten let prizpusobivym nazvem a byli zarazeni. Moc profesionalni to neni, ale docela me to pobavilo. Premyslel jsem jestli se jich na ten nazev letoveho planu mam zeptat:-)) Na konci letu jsem uz videl, ze se i usmali na rozloucenou.

Dokonce jsem tak krasne reprezentoval Ceskou republiku, takze jsem nechtel uz vyostrenou situaci horsit s mym pristupem a choval jsem se naprosto bezkonflitkne a prijemne. Kluci z New Yorku tu konfliktnost uz vyresili za me.

Koncim s investovanim v hedge fundu

Uzavrel jsem kapitolu jedne investice v hedge fundu. Po dvou letech investovani se ztratou zhruba $700,000. Neni to tak, ze bych to vzdal sam. Ale primo majitele hedge fundu usoudili, ze ten hedge fund uzavrou.

Znam osobne jednoho z tech majitelu. Sympaticky, prijemny a dobre vzdelany clovek. Na 100% nedelali nic umyslne spatne. Jen jim to proste neslo. Meli same dobre umysly.

Takze penize mi vratili. Svym zpusobem jsem rad, protoze se mi ujasnilo jak si je budu investovat po svem. Nejvetsi lekce je, ze takovou castku bych mel obrovsky problem propalit pri rozjezdu jakehokoliv vlastniho podnikani. Byl bych mnohem opatrnejsi. Nemohl bych spat dokud bych nevymyslel jak vydelavat. Proste tak spatny vysledek by bylo velmi tezke dosahnout. Pro me s mym stylem podnikani doopravdy ano. A kdybych jakekoliv podnikani rozjizdel tak mam sanci na obrovsky upside. Proste z male castky udelat obrovskou hodnotu (coz se pri jakemkoliv pasivnim investovani tak moc dosahnout neda). Tahle lekce mi pomohlaprehodnotit jak se divat na rizika pri vlastnim investovani.

Soucasny pohled mam takovyto:

  1. Pasivni investovani je hlavne o udrzeni hodnoty. Neztratit jistinu. Radeji chci mit limitovany prijem (par procent) nez riskovat ztratu jistiny kvuli sanci na trosku vetsi nez ten limitovany prijem. Treba v mem pripade tohle plni nemovitosti,ktere si sam manazuji a mam vse pod dukladnym dohledem. Zadne outsourcovani management firmam. Hlidam si to sam. Mam svoje lidi na tu praci, ale skutecne si hlidam ten trh a najemniky.
  2. Vlastni podnikani je nejvetsi zdroj na vytvoreni zisku.Tohle jsem vzdycky vedel a jen jsem si to musel pripomenout.Podnikani mnohonasobne vrati pocatecni investici a jeste vytvori obrovskou hodnotu. Ne kazde podnikani. Ale ty prohry jsou lehce zaplacene par vyhrami. Znovu pod my vlastnim managementem, kdy vim co umim, co neumim, jake jsou moje silne a slabe stranky. Zadne bullshitovani. Zadne hry. Jednoduse a efektivne.

Part 1 – Introduction – Opening a human mind

In this series of articles we are going to address intricacies of a human mind. And because this website is dedicated to entrepreneurship, our focus will be just that. We will discuss why some people are naturally successful in business and others are not, why reading self-improvement books does not really help, why at the pivotal moments we just can’t make that right business decision, then why we justify that it is because of our lack of experience, yet years go by and nothing changes. The above description may completely describe you, partially describe you, not describe you at all, and you may be aware of it, partially aware, or have no awareness of it at all. At the end it really does not matter. However in order to address these entrepreneurship topics, we have to look under the hood first in order to gain understanding. So the first few articles will be dedicated to this purpose. Subsequent articles will reference rich knowledge from these initial introductions.

My name is Rudy and I am a chemical engineer. I never studied psychology in school, however due to my own personal events, I studied psychology very deeply on my own and today I am where I am. Through these articles I’d like to share with you what I have learned, hoping to give an opportunity of self-discovery and self-growth to those of you that seek it.

The purpose of today’s article is to open your mind to ideas that you may otherwise reject. I am asking you to recognize that even in the world of macro physics, lot of physical laws today are based on empirical observations and ‘curve fitting’ and not based on understanding of matter and energy on a quantum level. Whether it is Newton’s law, laws of thermodynamics, or e.g. Reynold’s number is heavily used in chemical engineering when designing pumps and pipes. They are all based on empirical observations and sometimes ‘guess work’. Or in other words, while maybe not fundamentally correct, they give us a framework that works in the scope that is practical for us and it works. They allow us to build amazing machines, amazing processes, and factories and thus technologies seen today. But at the end, they may not be exactly correct on a microscopic level – they may even be wrong. At the end however all of these theories, or laws as we call them, are just human inventions that metaphorically describe the world as we perceive it. Similarly, we have decimal number system only because we, humans, have 10 fingers. From childhood we are taught to think in decimal system. Not until later years, we can learn and recognize that there are other number systems that may even be better and more practical. But let’s recognize here that without a decimal system first we would never arrive at more complex and abstract systems. Thus, while not as omnipotent as we believe the decimal system to be, it is very practical in our world, and without it, more complex systems could not be learned. We first need to learn a metaphorical framework that is simpler, makes sense for us at the moment before we can move onto more complex and abstract models. First step, if you will. But if we deny, refuse the simple, we not only cannot learn more abstract, but we do not even allow ourselves to be productive with the simple framework in a world where the simple is good enough.

Similarly, psychology is trying to study patterns of human behavior. Identify associations, decisions, mental processes and everything that a human mind brings. There are many psychological theories, but at the end they are all just metaphorical approximations to what is going on underneath. Some are better than others. Some of these theories may be simple, but they may describe certain situations well. They may describe our behavior on a macroscopic level, but completely miss the point on a microscopic level. But if we deny them before we even try to understand them, we are denying ourselves an opportunity to learn. From simple to something more complex. We kill it before it even has a time to evolve into something more complex and more real. So for example, when psychology describes that we have an ‘inner child’ that steers us away from making a good business decision, our immediate reaction may be ‘this is bullshit’, or a ‘psychobabble’. But I challenge you that the word ‘child’ is a metaphor here. Some theories call it ‘a part’, ‘a shadow’, ‘soul’, ‘demon’. All are bullshit, right? Well, it does not matter what you call it, it is a metaphorical word describing a neural connection in your brain that activates by certain external trigger and it actually can be identified by MRI – as I will mention in later articles with specific examples. Or in other words, in a certain situation a neural network in our mammalian limbic system can be triggered which directs our behavior and decision making (yes, decision making too and all conscious justifications along with it). Shall we call it neural pathway? Or a child? Shadow? RWG676? Does it matter? Whatever word we use, it just metaphorically describes the physical neural network and its activation under certain trigger.

As such, I am asking you here to be open minded to the words and sentences I choose. They are mine and they may not perfectly fit your current state of mind, but that should not be a reason for rejection. So hold your judgment until this entire series is over, and until you feel you understand this decimal system well – before rejecting it as flawed or too simple – which it very well at the end may turn out to be.

Let’s start with little simple self-awareness: If you were to hit your head with an object in a really stupid way, in that moment, are you more likely to say to yourself ‘I am an idiot’ or ‘You are an idiot’?. Think about it for a moment. “Ouch….. I am an idiot!” versus “Ouch…. You are an idiot!”.

Which one is more compatible with your inner mental structure? You will immediately feel (but not know why) which one fits more. And while you can learn to force yourself to say the other, the core inside of you that decides which fits better is not going to change. You would force to change just a symptom of something much deeper. Yet, that is exactly what we do when reading self-improvement books and talking to mentors, we try to learn what to say in those elevator pitches, how to approach customers, how to make business decisions, not recognizing that is the core that guides us and that we need to approach that and not just the symptoms. Are you stuck changing the symptoms?

Change yourself and your destiny will change as well.” – oracle

I have two exercises for you today. First one is this: Imagine you were born with an eye deficiency in such a way that you don’t see color blue. Now think about it hard and explain how would you find out? We will come back to this in later articles.

The second exercise is much more difficult: When you were 1 year old or so, you did not know how to speak yet. You did not have language yet. As such you also could not think! by using words. (Actually your frontal cortex wasn’t even developed to do any conscious thinking.) Everything you encountered at that time you processed without language! Tonight, before you go to bed, go and look at yourself in the mirror. Then look into (not at) your own eyes. But when you do this, don’t use language. No words allowed. Uttered or thought. Don’t say anything. Don’t think anything using words. Experience yourself without language and reflect on it. Some of you may feel fear, some peace, some anxiety, some something else and some a big nothing.

Both of these exercises use language as a tool to our consciousness and challenge it in a way that we don’t use it in a day to day basis. As such, our next article will be about language.
